RollOffDesk dispatch is a single board of every drop, swap, pickup and dump run, assigned to trucks by drag-and-drop, with a phone app that shows each driver the day, the placement notes, and a place to snap the placement photo and the scale ticket.

How it will work

  1. One board

    Today and tomorrow by truck: drops, swaps (pickup + drop in one stop), final pickups, dump runs.

  2. Driver app

    Stop list, customer notes, gate codes, placement pin; tap to complete.

  3. Photos + tickets

    Placement photo at drop (driveway-damage disputes) and scale ticket photo at the landfill.

  4. Ticket tons to billing

    The tons entered from the ticket flow straight to the invoice - see billing.

  5. Customer ETA text

    Optional “driver on the way” message.

How other roll-off software handles this

Docket lists “Dispatch & Driver App” on every plan; DRS’s driver app lists placement photos, tonnage-ticket uploads, payments and signatures; iCans includes its driver app on the $99 Base plan. RollOffDesk will not ship route optimization in v1 (DRS reserves routing for Standard/Pro; its Launch plan has no routing) - for a 1-3 truck operator, a clear board beats an optimizer.

Does the driver app work offline?

Planned: it caches the day’s stops so a dead zone at the landfill does not stop the driver.

Can I dispatch from my phone?

Yes, the board is being built mobile-first because most small operators dispatch from the truck.

Does it do route optimization?

Not in version 1. We would rather ship billing and container tracking that work.
